SAVORR VI video, featuring a performance by Patrick Coyle.
A sneaky preview of part of my degree piece!
Ceremonial Knife (tumi), 9th–11th century Peru, Sicán (Lambayeque). Gold and turquoise.
Watercolour and bronze powder paint.
Diamonds are starting to make my brain fry and frazzle. Going to start painting the middle panel today with 5, very special and beautiful gems!
All of next week I will be completing my final piece for the degree show. I have about a week to create my drawings which I feel will be enough time as I know the speed at which I work. All the things I am drawing are of a small nature and are all different so I shouldn’t get bored of doing them half way through and want to give up! I wish I had slightly more time to make this work but I am sure that I will cruise through it! I need to make sure I know all the objects I need to draw and have everything at hand. Wish me luck!
I am so annoyed that now, at this point in my uni duration, that I am engaging within my work and starting to enjoy it - with only a few weeks to go until I leave! I had my last tutorial today and it is a very weird feeling to think I will be saying good bye to a place that has been a massive part of my life for 3 years. Fingers crossed for the final weeks of my time at NUCA!
A few images from Savorr VI in which my piece Untitled (Horizon) was featured. The photographs were taken this morning after last nights private view which was rammed! - 27/4/2012
Here are a few images from last nights NUCA Fine Art Auction. Thank you to all that came down, it was a great night and we raised a great amount towards building our degree show.
